Since having my daughter, gone are the mornings of leisurely taking my time to apply makeup. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE makeup and still take the time to play around with products before a special outing like date night, but on most days I value those extra 10 minutes of sleep! Now let's factor in the morning rush before work to not only get yourself ready, but also your child, and you're lucky to even brush your teeth. What you need are multi-tasking beauty products to elevate your look in 5 minutes. Read on below for my current beauty must-haves:
I am currently really loving this CC cream by It Cosmetics. You may have heard about them as they are currently all over social media, and for good reason; this product lives up to its hype. It's great to quickly apply with your fingers or you can build up coverage with a Beauty Blender. The addition of SPF 50 and hydrating hyaluronic acid makes it the perfect all-in-one product for those 'no-makeup makeup' days.
I am not normally a huge fan of multi-tasking beauty products, but I have to say I am pretty hooked on the Nudestix 'Nudies' stick. I love that the brand focuses on nude colors that flatter every skin tone, which make it easy to use for cheeks, lips, and eyes. The matte finish is actually quite creamy and blend-able, and the brush included is convenient for touch-ups on-the-go.
Okay, if you are brow-obsessed like me you NEED the Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Brow Wiz' in your makeup bag. And, real talk for a sec: if you aren't already on the brow train you need to hop on! Defined eyebrows will literally change your face. I have used multiple eyebrow pencils and this is the one I keep coming back to. Its ultra-thin pencil glides on like buttah creating precise strokes, while the brush end buffs out the color for a more natural finish.
I mean, with a name like that what else do you need to know?! Kidding aside, this is by far my favorite mascara right now. It lengthens lashes and creates volume without clumping or flaking. One coat adds enough definition during the day but two coats really brings the extra drama.
This setting powder has a cult following and it's easy to see why; it sets makeup beautifully without being chalky and creating a 'ghostly' appearance. It's also great to use when buffing out bronzer and/or blush, and has the most incredible silky-soft finish. I use the loose powder version for when I want to 'bake' certain areas of my face, like underneath my eyes, but stash the pressed compact in my purse for touch-ups on-the-go. The only thing I will recommend when using the pressed compact is to ditch the sponge that it comes with, as it applies a little patchy, and instead use a travel-sized powder brush.
What are your must-have beauty products? Did your makeup routine change at all since having a baby? Let me know!
